There is nothing better and more expensive in the world than Native Land

There is nothing better and more expensive in the world than Native Land. It gives us wings for flight,lights every our step in life. It is impossible to choose Native Land. It can be only loved or treated indifferently.

An English proverb says «Every bird likes its own nest». I quite agree with it. Really,the best place is the country, where we were born and brought up, and we never forget it when we leave it. I believe in my homeland. Every person has his dear corner in the world. Motherland is the place, where we had our first friends and listened to mother’s songs. Thoughts about my land always make me feel happy, heat me and they are so sweet, when I am far from my Motherland.

My Motherland is called Russia. It’s a powerful country. It has many villages and cities, rivers and lakes, woods and mountains. I love my country and I am very proud of it. Russian Federation is the biggest country in the world. Our people are known as hospitable people. According to our old traditions,a guest should always be welcomed with the symbol of life-giving food —bread and salt.

All countries have their own beauty, but my country is the most beautiful for me. Every season brings its own beauty here. Russian nature is full of poetry and magic. The beauty of ancient towns, their historical and architectural monuments, cathedrals, the autumnal gold of the forests and fields attract tourists from all over the world.

Since my childhood I have heard and read about courage, patriotism and kindness of our people. I am very proud of our great history. Russian people have always loved their country though life in Russia has never been easy. They have been devoted to their Motherland. If necessary, I am also ready to follow their noble steps for the sake of my country, for my Motherland, which is as important for me as my own mother, whom I love and respect most in my life.

As we know,Russia occupies about one-seventh of dry land. Its total area is over 17 million square kilometers with population of 200 million people. There are 1,030 towns and cities in our country. It is very rich in mineral resources. It borders with 14 countries. Today Russia is one of the world’s largest grain producers and exporters. It’s a huge country and it has huge possibilities!

Our country has always played one of the leading parts in the world politics and economics. Lots of famous people were born in Russia:writers, painters, musicians, scientists, sportsmen and others. My Motherland is famous for the great discoveries, such as the first man in space, the discovery of the hydrogen bomb which contributed to the development of society and world.

Nowadays we have many problems in our country. But in spite of today’s problems, I think that there are a lot of opportunities for Russia to become one of the leading countries in the world. We all must be true lovers of our country.

I love my Motherland and I want to be a good resident of Russia. I will not forget that I am a child of this nation;I will always remember all my relatives and friends, our precious moments together.
